It goes without saying that we love what we do.
It shows in the images and videos we produce, and the happy clients that keep coming back.
And sure, it’s a job, there are difficulties, there are problems to overcome and sometimes stuff happens that is downright annoying, just like any other job… But we have so much fun doing what we do that all those other things simply roll off our backs.
So what is it that makes us giggle and buzz on daily basis?
Well, a million things luckily.
- We have a great team that gel together amazingly and we all love a laugh!
- The atmosphere on our sets is always professional but never uptight and our clients are quickly put at ease and they hop on our wavelength of joy, camaraderie and silliness.
- Everyone is involved and everyone contributes.
- We experiment, run away with our imaginations and double over with laughter when hilarious mishaps occur (and they often do!).
- No days are ever the same, we are constantly enjoying new people and conversations that help us learn and grow as professionals and as people.
- We travel to new places and see many things that stimulate and inspire us.
Shoot producing, film making, photography often involves visual trickery and this is so much fun to play with.
- We come up with in-camera effects.
- We get messy playing with water, or talcum powder, or confetti.
- We balance precariously on chairs dangling objects to come into shot.
- We play with flashlights in the dark and fill rooms with smoke. And on and on and on
Sometimes when we finish a day and pack our gear into the car we feel an actual wave of gratitude for getting to do what we do for a living.
Creatives usually have busy minds, everything around us is mind food. World goes in, art comes out. Photography allows us to exercise our imagination and creativity, but it also involves so much problem solving and technical considerations, it’s like working on a puzzle all day long. It keeps things interesting every step of the way on every single project.
We love the banter with the people we meet and it sometimes we really feel like big kids, sometimes we work on projects where our interactions feel deep and profound and we come away having experienced something meaningful. And then the next day we wake up in the morning to a new process, to new connections, new places, new puzzles and do it all again.
We wouldn’t change it for the world!
