Some things in life have a way of coming full circle, don’t they?
If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know this little podcast started life as Out of Focus. A space for conversations, stories, creativity and all the wonderful things that happen when we allow ourselves to look at life a little differently.
And while Out of Focus will always hold a special place in my heart, things are changing. I’m changing. My business is growing, new doors are opening and some very long-held dreams are finally becoming a reality.
One of those dreams is Hack. A creative agency, beyond the freelancer world, harnessing all the learnt skills and resourcing to make great things.
Hack has been something I’ve wanted to bring to life for years. And I mean YEARS. It’s been one of those ideas that has lived quietly in the back of my mind, occasionally popping up to remind me it was still there, waiting for its moment.
And now, finally, that moment is here.
It feels incredibly special to be able to say that.
So, as I step into this new chapter with Hack, it only feels right that the podcast comes along for the journey too.
But I didn’t want to lose what made it special in the first place. I wanted to keep that sense of warmth, connection and belonging. That feeling of pulling up a chair, getting cosy with a cuppa and having a really good conversation.
And that’s how Hacks Cosy Club came to be.
A name that keeps this little corner of my world close to my heart, while giving it the space to grow into something even more wonderful.
Because creativity doesn’t fit neatly into one box. Neither does life. And neither, I’ve realised, should this podcast.
I want this to be a place where we can talk about so much more. Creativity, business, big dreams, little wins, lessons learned, the messy middle, the unexpected turns and the beautiful stories we collect along the way.
A place for sharing knowledge, discovering new perspectives, celebrating brilliant people and having conversations that leave us feeling inspired, understood or simply a little less alone.
Some episodes might make you think. Others might make you laugh. And hopefully, some will feel just like sitting down for a good old natter with a friend.
There are so many stories to tell, so many people to meet and so much I want to share.
And the loveliest part? This feels like the beginning of something I’ve been waiting a very long time for.
So, whether you’ve been listening since the Out of Focus days or you’re finding your way here for the very first time, I’m so glad you’re here.
Same heart. A new name. A whole lot more to come.
